MTSU sweeps South Dakota State on Saturday

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The Middle Tennessee volleyball completed day two of the Fryfest Invitational on Saturday, September 2 at Xtream Arena with a match against South Dakota State. The Blue Raiders swept the Jackrabbits in three sets.
The Blue Raiders (1-3, 0-0 CUSA) topped the South Dakota State Jackrabbits (1-4, 0-0 SUMMIT) with set scores of 28-26, 25-20 and 25-17. As a team, MTSU had a hitting percentage of .379 and 10 aces.
Sophomore Adri Rhoda had a team-high 12 kills on .333 hitting percentage and added four aces. Junior Laure Jansen earned her third double-double of the season with 11 kills and 15 digs. Jansen tallied four aces as well. Graduate student Kayla Henley tallied 10 kills on a .429 hitting percentage plus six digs.
The two middle blockers in Dasia Smith and Kaylee Oscarson combined for 13 kills on 22 attempts and no errors.

38: Eisert earned 38 assists in three sets averaging 12.7 a set.
