Two Blue Raiders to participate in TSU Fall Invite

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — As a late addition to the fall schedule, the Middle Tennessee women's tennis kicks off their fall schedule heading to the Tennessee State Fall Invite on Sunday, September 10.
Doubles will start at 10 a.m. CT with singles expected to start around 12:30 p.m. CT. There will be around 42 matches to be played.
Lena Peyer and Lilly-Sophie Schmidt will be the Blue Raiders competing in the event. Peyer will be seeking their first action as a Blue Raider.
Peyer, a freshman from Meggen Switzerland, won the Megger Cup. She was a TZH junior winter Grand Prix Champion was ranked No. 70 in Switzerland.
Schmidt, a senior from Schriesheim, Germany, is hoping to continue her great play from the spring. Schmidt clinched four matches in the spring for the Blue Raiders. Her biggest match clinch was against WKU in the first round of the CUSA Championships.
HEAD COACH TAYO BAILEY-DUVALL
"We will only have Lilly-Sophie and Lena playing on Sunday. For this tournament, I am looking forward to watching Lilly compete and see how her hard work over the summer has paid off in the college setting. This will be Lena's first competition as a college athlete and I am excited to see how she performs and her mental toughness. Though we are only playing two ladies this weekend, I think it will be a good event for us."
