LAS CRUCES, N.M. — Tre Green's fourth 3-pointer of the night erased what had been an 11-point deficit and gave Middle Tennessee men's basketball the lead with just over six minutes in the second half, but New Mexico State scored 10 of the game's final 14 points to pull away for a 73-62 victory Saturday at the Pan American Center. Green finished the game with a career-high 18 points on 6-of-8 shooting from 3-point range.
The Blue Raiders (6-13, 0-4 CUSA) had last led at the 16:36 mark of the first half before Tre's trey broke a 50-all tie and capped an 8-0 run for his team. The Aggies (9-10, 3-1) got 10 points in a row from Robert Carpenter to regain the lead for good, improving to 9-1 at home on the season.
Green's 18 points were a team high. Jared Coleman-Jones' 11 points and 10 rebounds gave him his third double-double in the last four games, coming alongside four assists and two blocks. Elias King added 11 points and seven rebounds, while Jestin Porter contributed 10 points of his own.
By the Numbers
15: Green entered the game with 15 points on the season before putting up 18 Saturday night.

Blue Raider Notes
Thoughts from Head Coach Nick McDevitt
"I thought our effort was really good, and once our execution meets that, we'll start seeing the results. We got a three-point lead and just had some lapses on both ends… It's not just offensive execution, it's the defensive execution."
"I thought we did a lot of good stuff. Our fight – down eight at halftime, came back and took the lead there. The results will come if we continue to fight to where our execution is matching our effort. We're getting there, but in the meantime, these don't feel good."
"They don't make them better than Tre Green. His parents have done a terrific job raising this young man. He's a hard worker, a terrific human being, a good student. He makes terrific grades in the classroom taking hard classes."
