Blue Raiders fall short to Bellarmine on Friday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Middle Tennessee women's tennis headed to Louisville, Ky. to take on the Bellarmine Knights on Friday, Jan. 26. MTSU dropped the match 4-3 against the Knights.
The Blue Raiders take the doubles point winning on court No. 2 and 1. Sana Garakani and Eloise Swarbrick got things started with a 6-3 win against Caruk and Kollaritsch on court No. 2. On court No. 1, Rutuja Chaphalkar and Cassidy secured the doubles point for MTSU with a 6-3 victory over Tikhonko and Kryslova.
The Knights won on court No. 1 to start singles play. On court No. 2, Mataia battled Kryslova for a 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 win to give the Blue Raiders a 2-1 lead. Bellarmine picked up a win on court No, 3 to tie it up a two all. Freshman Lena Peyer continues her great singles play with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Kramarova on court No. 4. The Knights would go on to win on courts No. 5 and No. 6.
