Middle Tennessee Splits with North Alabama in Weekend's Opening Singles Match

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee women's tennis continued its final tournament of the 2024 fall season today with day two of the MTSU Invite, featuring six singles matches at the MTSU Outdoor Tennis Facility.
Yesterday, the Blue Raiders faced North Alabama, Western Kentucky and Eastern Kentucky in a round robin doubles match, winning two of three against the Hilltoppers and the Colonels.
Today, after a weather delay that pushed today's match time back to 4:30, Middle Tennessee was matched up with UNA in six individual singles matches. Top seeds Alessia Truden, Ilaria Sposetti and Lena Peyer all recorded wins in first, second and third seeded matches, respectively.
The MTSU Invite will conclude tomorrow, as the Blue Raiders will take on Western Kentucky at 9:30 and Eastern Kentucky at 3:30. Both matches will be played at the MTSU Outdoor Tennis Facility.
