Blue Raiders set to face Murray State Saturday

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – One of the most played matchups in Middle Tennessee history will add another result to its tally Saturday morning, when Murray State travels to the Murphy Center. The matchup between the Blue Raiders and the Racers will tip off at 3 p.m. and will be streamed on ESPN+ and Blue Raider Sports Network.
Series History
Murray State leads the all-time series, 107-39.
The Racers won the last contest, played in Murray, Ky., by a score of 75-54 on Dec. 30, 2023.
Blue Raider Notes
• The Blue Raiders once against shot at least 50 percent from the field against Evansville in their first DI competition at home. MT shot .500 on 29-for-58 shooting.
• Middle Tennessee won the rebounding game again, outrebounding the Purple Aces 47-29, including 13 offensive boards.
• Essam Mostafa earned his 41st career double-double against UE on 18 points and 11 rebounds, with four offensive boards. He also led the team with three assists in his 67th double-figure game of his career.
• The Blue Raiders lead the nation in three-point percentage defense through their first three games. Middle Tennessee has held opponents to just 14.3 percent from deep. Ranking second in the league and 13th in the nation, MT is allowing opponents to shoot just 33.9 percent from the field.
