Blue Raiders Ink Six members in 2025 recruiting class

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee Softball signed six student-athletes to its 2025 recruiting class. Aubrey Baker, Lilly Bethune, Braelyn Hall, Lucie McDonald, Adaeze Nwogbo, and Mady Pint inked their National Letters of Intent on National Signing Day and will join the roster ahead of the 2025-26 season.
"In the 2025 signing class, we filled some needs with athletic hitters. Whether infielders or outfielders, we prioritized hitting capabilities, and we've got a good group of hitters," stated head coach Jeff Breeden. "From a defensive standpoint, we're bringing in some athletic outfielders and adding Braelyn as a pitcher. This class includes both in-state and out-of-state student-athletes, helping us round out this group. We've got some great athletes coming in but, more importantly, great teammates.
Aubrey Baker
Outfield | Chandler, Ind. | Castle High School
Baker joins the Blue Raiders after an impressive high school career at Castle High School. The outfielder was a 2024 SIAC All-Conference First Team member, 2024 NFCA All-Region Second Team, and 2024 Regional Champion 4A Top 8. In 2024, the outfielder hit for a .425 batting average and an OPS of 1.261. Baker played travel ball with Fury Premier under coaches Keith Perry and Pat Moyer where she batted .458 and an OPS of 1.150. Baker was also a National Honors Society member.
"Aubrey comes to us from a high-level travel team with Fury Premier. Aubrey's a power hitting outfielder and we think she'll challenge for a starting spot on day one."
Lilly Bethune
First Base | Minor Hill, Tenn. | West Limestone High School
Bethune, A Tennessee native, joins the Blue Raiders after a prolific high school career. In the 2022-23 season, Bethune ranked second nationally in RBI's. The first baseman is the AHSAA state record holder for most home runs in a single game with three and the AHSAA state record holder for most home runs in a season with 16. Bethune was honored with winning the ITG Next Alabama Female Athlete of the Month in May, 2023. The Minor Hill, Tenn. native has a career .416 batting average in her high school career. Bethune was also a National Honors Society member.
"Lilly is one of the top power hitters in the state of Alabama. She led the state in home runs for a time, and we expect her to bring that power to the collegiate level as she competes for the starting first base job."
Braelyn Hall
Right-Handed Pitcher | Coeburn, Va. | Eastside High School
Braelyn Hall will arrive to Murfreesboro after a prolific high school career at Eastside High School. Hall was a 2024 First Team All-State member, First Team All-Region the past three seasons, First Team All-Conference the past three seasons, and Second Team All-State in 2022 and 2023. This past season, Hall pitched 97 innings with a 0.717 ERA, while racking up 193 strikeouts. Throughout her career, Hall has a 1.55 ERA and 530 strikeouts, while hitting .405 at the plate with three home runs, showcasing her all-around abilities. Hall was a Salutatorian winner and National Honor Society member.
For travel ball, Hall played for Impact Caymol Premier, coached by Mateo Caymol. At the 2024 PGF Nationals, the Coeburn, Va. native pitched for a 1.64 ERA across 17 innings, leading her team to a top 20 finish in the Premier Division. At the 2023 PGF Nationals, Hall pitched 36 innings giving up just two runs, good for a miniscule 0.388 ERA, helping lead her squad to a seventh-place finish in the Premier Division. Hall also played in the 2024 16u Futures All-Star game in Colorado.
"Braelyn is coming in as a strikeout pitcher as she got more than one strikeout per inning in her high school career. Braelyn is coming from one of the best travel organizations in America coached by Caymol, and we think she'll make an immediate impact on our pitching staff.
Lucie McDonald
Middle Infield | St. John, Fla. | Bartram Trail High School
Lucie McDonald joins the Blue Raiders out of St. John, Fla. after a terrific high school career at Bartram Trail High School. McDonald, a three-time captain, was a FACA 7A All-State and All-Academic member in 2024. The middle infielder was the Florida 7A Player of the Year runner up this past season. McDonald was also a two-time Second Team All-Conference member in the Florida 7A conference. In her freshman season, the St. John, Fla. native was the Northwest Florida High School home run leader in the 2022 season. For travel ball, McDonald was a captain for the Atlanta Vipers Gold '07 Maldonado coached by Ruben Maldonado.
"Lucie has got some of the best hands and footwork that we've seen from a middle-infielder in a long time. She played high level travel ball, has good softball IQ, and the sky is the limit for her as a Blue Raider.
Adaeze Nwogbo
Shortstop/Pitcher | Smyrna, Tenn. | Smyrna High School
Adaeze Nwogbo, a local standout, has excelled as a team captain, earning MVP honors and being named to the DNJ All-Area Softball First Team this in 2024. The previous season, Nwogbo was named to Co-Defensive MVP and was selected to the All-Tournament team at the 2023 Triple Crown Nationals. The utility player was also named the SHS Freshman of the Year. Over the course of her career, Nwogbo batted for a .385 average and recorded 83 steals. Off the field, Nwogo was a National Honor Society member with a 4.0 GPA in all her years in high school. For travel ball, Nwogbo played for head coach Chris Jacobs with Jack's City. The Smyrna native recorded a .455 batting average with 72 extra base hits, including 10 home runs in her travel ball career. Nwogbo also added 112 stolen bases.
"Adaeze is a hometown girl from Smyrna coming in as an infielder/pitcher. Adaeze comes from a great Jack City team coached by Chris Jacobs that coached her to have excellent defensive skills in the middle infield and she is very athletic. We're looking forward to seeing how her speed translates to the college game."
Mady Pint
Outfield | Sarasota, Fla. | Sarasota High School
Mady Pint comes to Murfreesboro after a prolific high school career at Sarasota High School. Pint was a First Team All-Conference member this past season. Pint played travel ball with Unity Proyor under head coach Johns Proyor.
"Mady is a power hitting, very athletic outfielder from the state of Florida. Maddy played travel ball with the Unity organization, and we look forward to her coming in and putting up some big power numbers and high RBI totals."
