MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee will host SIUE for its 11th annual Education Day game on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at the Murphy Center. Tipoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. CT. The game will air on the Blue Raider Network and broadcast on the ESPN+.

SERIES HISTORY
» This marks the second meeting in series history between the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders and SIUE Cougars.
» Middle Tennessee is won the previous meeting 81-74 on the road on Nov. 26, 2023.
BLUE RAIDER NOTES
» Middle Tennessee will take on SIUE on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at 11:00 a.m. (CT) at the Murphy Center.
» Education Day returns to the Glass House for the 11th time. MTSU will welcome over 3,400 students from Murfreesboro City Schools.
» Middle Tennessee is 9-1 in Education Day games played at the Murphy Center since the event began in 2012.
» This will mark the second meeting in series history between the Blue Raiders and Cougars. MTSU won the previous meeting 81-74 on Nov. 26, 2023. Ta'Mia Scott led the way with 21 points, four rebounds, two assists, a block and a steal.
» Middle Tennessee is 45-2 over the previous three season at home. The Blue Raiders only losses have come against Seton Hall in the WNIT semifinals in 2022-23 and against Ivy League power house Princeton in 2023-24.
» Following a trio of strong performances against Florida A&M, Purdue and No. 15 Iowa State, Middle Tennessee center Anastasiia Boldyreva was named the Conference USA Player of the Week. She was also named to the Elevance Health Women's Fort Myers Tip-Off All-Tournament Team along with: Joyce Edwards & Ashlyn Watkins, South Carolina, Audi Crooks, Iowa State and Destini Lombard, Purdue.
» The Blue Raiders return 10 players, including three starters, from the 2023-24 squad that went 30-5 and won the CUSA regular season and tournament titles and advanced to the Round of 32 of the NCAA Tournament.
» The Middle Tennessee women's basketball program will celebrate its 50th varsity season in 2024-25 and is set to honor the program's storied tradition and rich history with various initiatives throughout the year.
Note: Today marks the official anniversary of MTSU women's basketball. The Blue Raiders defeated Murray State at home 66-50 on Dec. 4, 1975 in their first game as a varsity team.
» Middle Tennessee will play a tough non-conference slate highlighted neutral sites matchups with Iowa State, Kansas State and Purdue, and a trip down I-40 to take on the Tennessee Lady Vols. The Blue Raiders will face eight teams that finished in the top 150 of the NET Rankings last season, including seven that finished in the top 100 and four that finished in the top 40 before heading into league play.
SCOUTING THE COUGARS
» SCORING LEADER: Brianna Wooldridge currently leads the team in points (62) averaging 10.3 a game. She put up 12 points against UMSL, a season single-game high of 15 against Murray State,10 points against Loyola and 12 points against Roosevelt University.
» SILVEY LINING: Macy Silvey currently leads the team in three points made (11) averaging 2.0 per game, recording a season single-game high at UCF (3). Silvey ranks seventh in the OVC for three-point percentage (36.4) and seventh for three pointers per game (2.0).
» SHEEHAN-DLES: Molly Sheehan has had 15 assists so far this season averaging 2.5 a game. Sheehan has had 32 points over five games.
» TEAM RANK: SIUE leads the OVC in Bench points per game (26.5), this is also good for 60th in the NCAA. They are third in the OVC in defensive rebounds (27.3) good for 90th in the NCAA.
» REBOUND: Both Wooldridge and Ava Stoller have had 32 total rebounds (5.3 a game). Halle Smith averages 4.0 rebounds a game (24 total) and Ava Gugliuzza averages 3.8 (23 total).
