MARTIN, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee softball (4-12) drops a midweek game at UT Martin (8-7) on Tuesday night.

UT Martin opened the scoring after two walks in the first inning came around to score. MTSU answered back with two runs in the second inning to tie the game. Ansley Blevins singled to score Julia Garcia who was hit by a pitch to leadoff the inning. Ava Brooks added the second run on a single that scored Anyce Harvey.

The Skyhawks regained a one-run lead in the third inning on a sacrifice fly. The Blue Raiders threatened in the fifth with bases loaded but were unable to capitalize keeping it 3-2 UT Martin.

Blevins hit a solo home run the opposite way to tie the game in the sixth inning. Her second hit and RBI of the game. UT Martin was once again able to retake the lead scoring four-runs in the bottom half and hold on for the win.

Keri Munn started in the circle for the Blue Raiders throwing 1.1 innings before Mary Martinez took over. All of the Blue Raider's staff saw action on Tuesday with Jesyne Espinal and Claire Woods both throwing as well.
