MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee fell to Binghamton 9-0 on Friday afternoon at Reese Smith Jr. Field to drop the series with the Bearcats.

On the mound, James Sells went six innings, striking out five batters for the Blue Raiders (10-15), 2-4 Conference USA).

MTSU was shut out for the first time since March 4, 2023 against Toledo. Briggs Rutter led the way with a pair of hits, while Nathan Brewer and Cale Vinson each collected a hit.

Binghamton's (10-13, 2-4 Atlantic East) Ryan Bates lasted a career-high seven innings en route to his first win of the season.
