Game two goes to Bearkats in Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE, Texas – Sam Houston struck first with seven early runs and rode that lead to a 13-1 win in game two of the series against Middle Tennessee on Saturday.
The Blue Raiders (13-25, 4-10 CUSA) got two on with two out in the first inning but were unable to cash in. Chandler Alderman started on the mound for MTSU against the Bearkats (23-16, 6-8 CUSA), who went on to score two runs with two outs in their half of the first.
Sam Houston added five more runs in the second and plated another in the fourth to take an 8-0 lead.
Cale Vinson singled with two outs in the seventh inning, and Bryce Symlar followed with a double down the left field line to put MTSU on the scoreboard.
The Bearkats ended the game early with five runs in the eighth inning to secure the series win.
Alderman (2-3) was credited with the loss, and Sam Houston's Michael Watson (4-1) got the win with nine strikeouts in 6.2 innings pitched.
By the Numbers
5.2: Justin Lee's 5.2 innings pitched were a new career high. He struck out a career-high five batters out of the bullpen.
2: Bryce Symlar posted his second extra base hit of the season with a seventh inning RBI double.
