Blue Raiders travel to Knoxville for Tennessee Invite

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee will be back in action and continue the outdoor season this weekend on April 5-6 at the Tennessee Invite.
The Tennessee Relays will be hosted by the Tennessee Volunteers at Tom Black Track and Laporte Stadium on April 5 and 6.

Last Time Out – Raleigh Relays & Florida Relays
School records were shattered over the weekend with Odilia Jepchumba running the fastest 10k in school history (33:16.76s) to rank 31st in NCAA. In the same event, Faith Nyathi would also break the school record and run the 37th fastest time in NCAA (33:27.42s).
Carmelo Cannizzaro's time (8:49.93s) at the Raleigh Relays in the 3000M Steeplechase is the 12th fastest in the NCAA.
Men's Top Performances
· The men's 4x100 team ran a season best 40.37s with Stephen Eloji as the anchor. Eloji also finished fourth in the 100H finals with a 13.68s
· Brian Kiptoo ran a personal best in the men's 5000M of 14:08.52s
· John Sherman would run a personal best 21.45s in the 200M. He also ran a season best in the 100M with a 10.39s time for a top-50 time in NCAA.
· Sammy Sang would finish 10th in the 1500M with a 3:51.74s time.
Women's Top Performances
· Freshman Nancy Maiyo would run the 96th fastest time in NCAA in the 10k of 34:56.90s.
· Purity Sanga would run the second fastest time in school history in the 5k and 64th fastest in NCAA of 16:19.68s.
· Brooke Studnicki ran a personal best in the 1500M of 4:31.39s
· Tamia Waters ran a personal best in the 200M with a 24.26s time. Waters also ran a personal best in the 100-hurdles of 13.83s.
· Leonnie Beu would run a personal best 52.35s time in the 400M.
