Women’s Tennis travels to WKU on Wednesday, hosts Senior Day against Sam Houston on Saturday

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee women's tennis will travel to Bowling Green, Ky. to take on conference foe WKU on Wednesday, April 10 at 2 p.m. CT. On Saturday, April 13 at 11 a.m. CT, the Blue Raiders will welcome Sam Houston to complete the regular season at the Outdoor Tennis Facility weather permitting.
Senior Lilly-Sophie Schmidt will be honored before the match on Saturday against the Bearkats. Schmidt has played four years as a Blue Raider tallying a total of 67 career wins in singles and doubles.
For the Saturday match, admission is free and parking will be available in the Greenland Lot A. See the map below.
MTSU have earned two Conference USA wins so far this season and are looking for their third and fourth conference wins of the season. In the last match, the Blue Raiders swept UT Southern 7-0.
As a team, MTSU has totaled 54 singles wins so far this season. Sana Garakani, Lena Peyer and Eloise Swarbrick all lead the team with 10 singles wins each.
In doubles, the Blue Raiders earned 23 doubles wins this season. Garakani leads the team with eight doubles wins. Schmidt is not too far behind with seven doubles victories.
