Horak, Raquin prepare for NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships in Stillwater

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Senior Leo Raquin and Sophomore Ondrej Horak are set to represent Middle Tennessee and the Conference USA on Tuesday, May 21 in the NCAA Doubles Championship and Raquin will compete in the NCAA Singles Championships on Monday, May 20 at Michael and Anne Greenwood Tennis Center on the campus of Oklahoma State University.
No. 28 Raquin and Horak (16-6) earned the CUSA Automatic Bid by obtaining the highest-ranked doubles pairing in the conference at the conclusion of the regular season. The Blue Raider duo will face No. 22 Freddy Blaydes and Niels Ratiu of Georgia in the opening Round of 32 on Tuesday.
No. 44 Raquin (18-9) obtained the CUSA Automatic Bid by securing the highest-ranked singles player in the conference. Raquin will take on No. 7 Jake Fearnley of TCU in the Round of 64 on Monday, May 20 at 4 p.m. CT.
Horak and Raquin are looking to cap an incredible season together with a deep run in the NCAA Tournament. The duo finished the regular season portion of the season with a 16-6 overall record. In the Spring, they defeated two Intercollegiate Tennis Association ranked opponents in No. 34 Pablo Alemany and Charlie Barry of Memphis and No. 74 Alex Bancila and Luc Hoeijmans of Tulane.
In singles, Raquin has earned 18 wins and has defeated eight ranked opponents this spring.

With a win against Blaydes/Ratiu, Horak and Raquin would advance to the Round of 16 to take on the winner of Etienne Donnet/Natan Rodrigues of Louisville or Codie Van Schalkwyk/Connor Van Schalkwyk of Old Dominion.

With a win against Fearnley, Raquin would advance to the Round of 32 to face the winner of No. 63 Finn Murgett and of Auburn and No. 18 Gavin Young of Michigan.
