Blue Raiders set for CUSA Media Days in Frisco

FRISCO – Conference USA announced recently that Middle Tennessee student-athletes Nicholas Vattiato, Brendon Harris and Devyn Curtis would join Head Coach Derek Mason at the 2024 CUSA Football Kickoff and Media Days today and tomorrow in Frisco, Tex.
After holding the event at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas the previous two years, CUSA will host this year at the new PGA of America. This marks the first formal event under the league's 2024 10-team configuration.
Monday will see the student-athletes get a tour of the Dallas Cowboys practice facility, dinner, then some time at Top Golf on location.
The Blue Raiders will get started on Tuesday with the CUSA Insider Podcast before their press conference at 11:15 AM. The day will conclude with the ESPN+ Live Show where Mason, Vattiato and Harris will be interviewed by host John Schriffen. The ESPN+ Live Show will air at 11:45 AM until 12:05 PM.
Vattiato (6-1, 205) – Entering this fourth season with the Blue Raiders, Vattiato is coming off a year where he threw for 3,092 yards on 286 completions to go with 23 touchdowns. He also ranked second on the team in rushing with 397 yards.
Harris (6-1, 210) – Begins his seventh season of college football and his first at MTSU. Was recruited by and played the early part of his career for Mason at Vanderbilt before spending his previous two years at Wake Forest. Has 139 total tackles during his career to go with nine pass breakups.
Curtis (6-2, 235) – The Nashville native begins his fifth season at MTSU where he has amassed 124 tackles, 2.5 sacks, five pass breakups and two fumble recoveries. A former freshman all-american, Curtis is currently pursuing his MBA.
The Blue Raiders will begin training camp on July 31 in preparation for the season opener on Aug. 31 against Tennessee Tech. Kickoff for the opener at Floyd Stadium is set for 6 PM CT.
