Middle Tennessee Claims Four Wins on Final Day of Blue Raider Invite

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee men's tennis team concluded its fall season Blue Raider Invite kickoff today, as MTSU, along with the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles, took on the Vanderbilt Commodores and the Lipscomb Bisons at the Middle Tennessee Outdoor Tennis Facility.

The Blue Raiders spilt a pair of doubles matches to start off the match, as No. 1 seed Rostislav Halfinger and Jakub Kroslak defeated Vanderbilt's Jack Ingram and Paul Wang 6-3. Sophomores Kristian Thomas and Igor Mandou Berranger later fell to Lipscomb's Facundo Perlov and Oliver Thoeny 6-3.

Today, Middle Tennessee featured in five individual singles matches, with Halfinger, Kroslak and Berranger each claiming a straight set victory, giving Halfinger and Berranger both their second singles win of the weekend.

Next up for the Blue Raiders is a trip to Tulsa, Okla. for the ITA All-American Championships on Sept. 22-29 at the Michael D. Chase Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Tulsa.
