Privillege Chikara named CUSA Women’s Track Athlete of the Week

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – After breaking the program record for the Women's 1000m race, Privillege Chikara was named the Conference USA Women's Track Athlete of the Week, announced by the league office on Jan. 14.
Middle Tennessee Track & Field competed in the Commodore Challenge at Vanderbilt University on Jan. 11 where the Zimbabwe native ran for a time of 2:50.32 in the Women's 1000m race. This marked the first time Chikara ran the 1000m race at the collegiate level.
Chikara is the fifth Blue Raider to receive a CUSA weekly award in the 2024-25 Indoor Track & Field season and is the eighth Blue Raider to take home a weekly award, dating back to the Cross Country season.
