MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee returns to the Glass House to host Sam Houston on Thursday, Jan. 23. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT. The game will air on the Blue Raider Network and broadcast on ESPN+.

SERIES HISTORY
» This marks the third meeting in series history between the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders and Sam Houston Bearkats.
» The Blue Raiders owns a 2-0 lead over Sam Houston in the all-time series.
» MTSU defeated the Bearkats twice last season, 87-55 in Huntsville and 93-66 in Murfreesboro.

» Middle Tennessee is 157-38 in conference play since joining Conference USA in 2013-14.
» MTSU's 33-game win streak against CUSA opponents – The longest streak in CUSA history – came to an end last week at WKU.
» The Blue Raiders are riding a 30-game home win streak against CUSA teams that dates back to the 2020-21 season – Last loss came at the hands of a Marshall team led by Savannah Wheeler. MTSU has been absolutely dominant at home winning by an average margin of 22.2 Points Per Game.
» Middle Tennessee is 48-2 over the previous three season at home. The Blue Raiders only losses have come against Seton Hall in the WNIT semifinals in 2022-23 and against Ivy League power house Princeton in 2023-24.
» Senior Jalynn Gregory is now just two three-point field goals away from breaking the program record for career made three-point field goals. Assistant Coach and former Blue Raider Courtney Whitson holds the record with 300 career made triples.
» The Blue Raiders lead Conference USA and rank seventh in the Nation in Field Goal Defense. Middle Tennessee is holding it's opponents to just 34.1 percent shooting on the season.
» Head Coach Rick Insell has led the Lady Raiders to 19 consecutive post-seasons. He has tallied a 475-162 record at his alma mater.
» The Blue Raiders return 10 players, including three starters, from the 2023-24 squad that went 30-5 and won the CUSA regular season and tournament titles and advanced to the Round of 32 of the NCAA Tournament.
» The Middle Tennessee women's basketball program will celebrate its 50th varsity season in 2024-25 and is set to honor the program's storied tradition and rich history with various initiatives throughout the year.

» Sam Houston enters Thursday with an 8-8 overall record and is 1-5 in CUSA play. The Owls are coming off of a 53-48 win over Jax State.
» Redshirt junior Kaila Kelley leads the Bearkats in scoring with 14.1 Points per game, while redshirt junior Deborah Ogayemi leads Sam Houston in rebounds (7.8)
» Sam Houston is ranked No. 3 nationally and leads the conference in turnovers forced, averaging 25.75 per game.
» The charity stripe is a frequent place the Kats visit sitting at 23.41 free throw attempts per game franking No. 3 in the nation and leads the conference.
» The Kats ranked No. 12 nationally in steals per game, averaging 12.6. Three Kats are in the top five in the conference with steals per game; led by Fanta Kone who averages 3.06 per game.

» Last season MTSU defeated LA Tech three times, 64-61 (OT) in Ruston, 79-58 in Murfreesboro and 62-56 in the CUSA Tournament Semifinals.
SCOUTING THE LADY TECHSTERS
» LA Tech enters the week with an 11-6 overall record and is 4-2 in CUSA play. The Lady Techsters take on WKU on Thursday before traveling MTSU on Saturday.
» LA Tech is coming off of a pair of home victories over Jax State and Kennesaw State.
» Graduate Robyn Lee leads the team in scoring with 13.4 points per game, while freshman Jordan Marshall leads the team in rebounding (7.8).
» Freshman guard Paris Bradley has been stellar for the Lady Techsters in league play, winning the previous four CUSA Freshman of the Week honors.
