Volleyball falls to Delaware in five-set battle

NEWARK, Del. – Middle Tennessee Volleyball dropped a five-set thriller to Delaware in their first matchup as Conference USA foe. The set scores were as follows: 25-19, 25-20, 16-25, 22-25, 10-15.
The Blue Raiders finished the match leading the Blue Hens in kills, assists and digs. Raegan Durbin had a career night with 26 kills, leading all players in the match by at least 12 kills. Gabrielle Clinkscale and Michaela Dlouhá each posted nine kills, and Payton Deidesheimer finished the match with eight. Caroline Macander had 45 assists on the night, one assist shy of her career high.
Macander also led all players in the match defensively with 20 digs, garnering yet another double-double. Isil Yilmaz notched 16 digs and Mackenna Poole had a career high night with 15 digs. Logan Carr assisted in six of nine Blue Raiders blocks, tied for the most of all players in the match.
