Fans are invited to stick around after the game on Sunday, October 26, for postgame autographs with the Blue Raiders. This fan-favorite opportunity gives Blue Raider supporters a chance to meet the team, take photos, and collect autographs to celebrate the start of another exciting season of Blue Raider Basketball.
Blue Raiders Give Back – October 28 vs. Life
Middle Tennessee Athletics, in collaboration with the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, the Charlie and Hazel Daniels Veterans and Military Family Center and the VFW, will launch a 12-day Food Drive benefiting the MTSU Student Food Pantry and Nourish Food Bank beginning with the exhibition game against Life University.
To kick off the initiative, the first 50 fans who bring non-perishable food donations to the Oct. 28 game will receive a free popcorn voucher as a thank-you for supporting the cause. The Food Drive will continue through Nov. 8, collecting donations at all home athletic events, including football, volleyball, and men's and women's basketball games.
Since its founding in 2012, the MTSU Student Food Pantry has served as a vital campus resource, helping students facing food insecurity by providing access to nutritious food and essential items. The pantry currently sees over 400 student visits each month, including both returning and first-time users. Additionally, the pantry manages the Library Snack Station, which provides quick snacks and hygiene kits to students when supplies are available. Through these programs, the Food Pantry continues to promote care, dignity, and community across campus.
The Nourish Food Bank has been working to end hunger and strengthen community response to food insecurity for over 40 years. On average, Nourish provides aid to over 3,000 people each month and distributes more than 850,000 meals annually. Additionally, Nourish provides 500 ATLAS backpack bags each month to homeless and disadvantaged school children in Rutherford County to combat weekend food insecurity.
