Volleyball sweeps TSU in Tuesday night showdown

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee Volleyball brought out the brooms to take down Tennessee State in straight-set fashion. The set scores were as follows: 25-17, 25-17, 25-17.
The Blue Raiders led the Tigers in every stat category aside from errors, most notably hitting a season high .316 as a team while holding Tennessee State to a .149 efficiency. Raegan Durbin and Gabrielle Clinkscale led the Blue Raiders offense, each with 10 kills, Durbin hitting a .438 clip. Michaela Dlouhá posted six kills on a season high .600 efficiency, Payton Deidesheimer and Trinniti Stevens each notched five kills, a career high for Stevens after entering the match in the 3rd set.
Caroline Macander led the Blue Raiders defensively with 12 digs, garnering her 12th career double-double, also tallying 31 assists on the match and tied a career high four kills. Durbin and Mackenna Poole each notched eight digs, Clinkscale and Isil Yilmaz each posted six digs. Raegan Durbin also led all players in the match with five aces, the figure a career high, a Blue Raider season high and a tied 3rd best performance in Conference USA for aces in a three-set match.
