Freddy Murray Named CUSA Athlete of the Month

DALLAS, Texas — Middle Tennessee senior Freddy Murray has been recognized as the CUSA Athlete of the Month for October, according to a release from the conference office on Tuesday.
At the MTSU Invite, Murray earned two doubles wins with Antonie Mayoral, both 6–3, and fought for a three-set singles victory over Indiana's Facundo Yunis, 6–4, 5–7, 7–6 (8–6). He continued his momentum at the ITA, repeating the 6–3 doubles win against Vanderbilt and adding a 6–3, 6–3 singles win over ETSU's James Sim.
In Rome invite, Murray put together an impressive run with singles victories over Columbia, Georgia Tech, FAU, and Kennesaw State, along with a doubles win with Eric Crivei. His three-set win over Columbia's Jakub Katuch (6–2, 2–6, 7–5) capped a dominant weekend.
