MTSU Men’s Tennis Announces 2026 Spring Schedule

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee men's tennis head coach Jimmy Borendame has announced the program's 2026 spring dual-match schedule, featuring 22 regular-season competitions, three home doubleheaders and the annual Battle in the Boro. The schedule features 14 teams in the top 75 of the National ITA Rankings last season. Plus, 9 teams that made the NCAA National Team Championships.
The Blue Raiders open the spring with a home doubleheader on Jan. 16, hosting Lipscomb at 1 p.m. followed by Tennessee Tech at 5 p.m. MTSU continues its early homestand against Harvard on Jan. 20 (5 p.m.) and a Jan. 23 doubleheader versus UAB (1 p.m.) and Eastern Kentucky (5 p.m.). The team closes the month at home against Belmont on Jan. 25 (1 p.m.) before traveling to Nashville to face Vanderbilt on Jan. 29 (5 p.m.).
February opens with road matches at Indiana on Feb. 1 (noon) and Virginia Tech on Feb. 6 (5 p.m.). The Blue Raiders return home to host Alabama on Feb. 8 (1 p.m.) and Louisville on Feb. 13 (5 p.m.) before heading to Oklahoma State on Feb. 15 (11 a.m.).
MTSU then turns its attention to the Battle in the Boro, hosting Utah (Feb. 20, 5 p.m.), Old Dominion (Feb. 21, 2 p.m.) and Rice (Feb. 22, 2 p.m.) across three days of home action. The Blue Raiders wrap up the month with a home match against Princeton on Feb. 27 (5 p.m.).
March features three home doubleheaders, beginning with Alabama State (1p.m.) and Austin Peay (5 p.m.) on March 1. MTSU then hosts Pepperdine (1 p.m.) and Southern Indiana (5 p.m.) on March 8, followed by Yale (1 p.m.) and Alabama A&M (5 p.m.) on March 11.
The Blue Raiders travel south for a matchup at South Florida on March 14 (1:30 p.m.) before continuing the road swing at Cornell on March 21 (1 p.m.). MTSU returns home to face William & Mary on March 27 (5 p.m.), Tulane on March 29 (noon) and Tennessee State on March 29 (5 p.m.).
The spring regular season concludes on April 10 with a home doubleheader against Memphis (1 p.m.) and Bellarmine (5 p.m.).

"The spring schedule is loaded with home matches and opportunities. With our team's exceptional depth, we will be able to get tons of matches in with our double headers. We will be tested each week and take one match at a time."
Middle Tennessee will host the 2025 Conference USA Championships, scheduled for April 17–19, at the Outdoor Tennis Complex on campus. The NCAA Team Championships are set for May 1–3 at sites to be determined.
