Karim Al-Amin Named CUSA Player of The Month

DALLAS, Texas — Middle Tennessee senior Karim Al-Amin has been recognized as the CUSA Athlete of the Month for November, according to a release from the conference office on Tuesday.
Al-Amin capped off a strong fall season with standout performances at the 2025 ITA Masters Championships in San Diego and the NCAA Doubles Championships. At the ITA Masters, Al-Amin opened singles play with an impressive 6–4, 6–0 win over Dayton's Mikkel Zinder. In doubles, Al-Amin and partner Ondrej Horak put together an exceptional run.
The Blue Raider duo defeated Texas Tech's Niksa Arsic and Thiago Guglieri 7–5, 4–6, 10–8 on Day 2, then followed with a 6–3, 6–3 victory over Western Michigan's Evans and Riedel that afternoon. The pair continued their momentum with a dominant 6–1, 6–3 win over Bucknell's Amar Tahirovic and Brendan McDonald, securing their spot in the upcoming NCAA Doubles Championship.
Al-Amin and Horak ultimately went on to win the ITA Masters after defeating the ETSU duo in the final. The Blue Raiders carried that success into the NCAA Doubles Championships. Al-Amin and Horak earned a decisive first-round win over No. 7 California's Silva and Stepanov, 6–3, 6–4, marking their second top-15 victory of the fall.
