MTSU baseball hits a setback against St. Bonaventure

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee baseball fell to St. Bonaventure in the second game of the MTSU Round Robin on Saturday, March 1, losing 13-3 in seven innings.
The Blue Raiders (6-4) got off to a slow start against the Bonnies (6-3), not getting a runner on base until a leadoff single by Eston Snider in the fourth inning.
SBU, on the other hand, started strong, scoring seven runs in the first three innings — all unearned against LHP Chandler Alderman.
The Bonnies' took an inning off in the fourth before scoring in each of the final three innings.
The Blue Raider offense showed life late, scoring two runs on two hits in the bottom of the seventh inning, but it wasn't enough to avoid the run-rule loss, dropping the game 13-3.
