Truden and Chaphalkar earn CUSA All-Academic Team honors

DALLAS — Conference USA has announced its 2025 Women's Tennis All-Academic Team, with two Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders earning spots on the list.
Graduate student Alessia Truden is the first Blue Raider named to the team. She has been one of the squad's top performers this season, both on and off the court. Truden holds a perfect 4.0 GPA and competes at the No. 1 spot in singles and on court two in doubles alongside her partner, Rutuja Chaphalkar.
Chaphalkar also earned a spot on the All-Academic Team. She maintains a 3.961 GPA and partners with Truden in a doubles team that earned a national ranking this season. In singles play, Chaphalkar has been a steady presence on courts five and six for the Blue Raiders.
Truden, Chaphalkar and the Blue Raiders wrap up the regular season at Sam Houston on Friday afternoon and at Rice on Saturday morning before traveling to Lynchburg, Va. for the CUSA Championship April 16-19.
