MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee softball will travel to Las Cruces, New Mexico, for its second-to-last Conference USA series of the season. The games are scheduled for April 25–27, with start times set for 7:00 p.m. CT, 5:00 p.m. CT, and 12:00 p.m. CT, respectively. Each game will be streamed on ESPN+, and live stats will be available via StatBroadcast.
In their most recent Conference USA series, the Blue Raiders (23-24, 10-11 CUSA) dropped two of three games to Jax State, bringing their conference record to 10-11. That mark currently places Middle Tennessee in seventh in the CUSA standings, with only the top six teams qualifying for the Conference USA Tournament in Bowling Green.
On Tuesday, April 22, MTSU took on TSU in Nashville and came away with a 2-0 victory in a pitchers' duel. Tori Coffman was brilliant in the circle, tossing a complete-game shutout—the first of her Blue Raider career. Ava Tepe broke the scoreless tie with a go-ahead home run in the seventh inning, which proved to be the difference.
The Blue Raiders lead Conference USA with 57 home runs this season and set the NCAA's longest home run streak of 2025, going deep in 23 consecutive games from March 1 through April 12. Their 57 homers also rank 33rd in the nation. Leading the power surge are Ansley Blevins with 12 home runs, Addy Edgmon with 10, and Jana Want with nine. In total, 11 Blue Raiders have contributed to the home run tally.
Scouting NM State

The Aggies are led by head coach Kathy Rodolph, now in her 20th season. Rodolph is NM State's all-time winningest coach, boasting a 540-437 record with the program. This season, the Aggies are powered by two-way standout Desirae Spearman, who has been one of the top performers in the conference.
