MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Blue Raiders ready to square off against the Red Team 100 miles north for Senior Day.
For the last home match of the season, Middle Tennessee will face Western Kentucky for Senior Day. Five student-athletes will be recognized during the Senior Ceremony. These seniors, along with the rest of the squad, are looking to finish strong—especially after winning all three matches last week.
Taking on the Red Team Up North
The rivalry shared across all Middle Tennessee sports takes the spotlight as the women's tennis team prepares for a key matchup. This will be the 18th meeting between the two programs since 2007 and the ninth straight year they've faced off during the regular season. MTSU leads the all-time series 14-3 but suffered a 4-1 loss to WKU last season. The Blue Raiders, however, boast a 10-1 home record against the Hilltoppers.
WKU enters the match with a 13-8 record and is another team to watch heading into the Conference USA tournament in a few weeks. The Hilltoppers are currently on a two-match losing streak, including a loss to Liberty over the weekend.
First serve is scheduled for 4 p.m. at the MTSU Outdoor Tennis Complex, weather permitting. Come out and support our graduating student-athletes during and after the match.
