Coach Aston Rhoden on Newton's impact:
Everybody here has a responsibility when they have the opportunity to finish the game for us, and that's what Scottie did.
Newton on her goal:
I had a good feeling going into the box. I was very confident on the ball. I couldn't have done it without that amazing pass; I just placed it over the net.
By the Numbers:
Newton scored her first collegiate career goal.
Fraser tallied her second goal of the season and the fifth of her career.
Next Match Up:
Middle Tennessee will host Indiana State on Sunday, Aug. 24, at 1 p.m. at Dean A. Hayes Stadium.
