Blue Raiders host Indiana State in first-ever meeting Sunday

MURFREESBORO, Tenn.— Middle Tennessee (3-0-0) is set to host Indiana State (1-2-0) on Sunday at 1 p.m. at Dean A. Hayes Track and Soccer Stadium.

Sunday marks the first-ever meeting between the Blue Raiders and the Sycamores in program history.
About Middle Tennessee
The Blue Raiders enter the matchup riding a three-game winning streak to open the 2025 season. Freshman Scottie Newton extended Middle Tennessee's 1-0 lead against Alabama A&M, netting her first collegiate goal on a header off a corner from senior defender Hannah Delaney.
Newton is the third freshman to record her first career goal this season, joining Alli Craig (vs. Jackson State) and Olivia Best (vs. Belmont).
About Indiana State
Paul Lawrence, named the fourth head coach in Indiana State women's soccer history, is in his third season with the program. He holds a 13-14-15 record with the Sycamores and an overall career record of 84-66-31.
Indiana State enters Sunday's contest with a 1-2-0 record, including a 4-0 loss to Purdue, a 13-0 victory over Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, and a 5-3 loss to Chattanooga.
Midfielder Addyson Warner was named Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Week following her performances against Purdue and Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. She scored two first-half goals in the Sycamores' 13-0 win over Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.
