Middle Tennessee Opens Road Conference Slate at Western Kentucky

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee (6-3-2, 1-0-0 CUSA) will travel to Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (4-4-1, 1-0-0 CUSA) on Saturday, Sept. 27, for a 6 p.m. CT kickoff at WKU Soccer Complex. The match will stream live on ESPN+.

The Blue Raiders and Hilltoppers will meet for the 25th time in program history. Middle Tennessee holds a 7-10-7 record in the all-time series against Western Kentucky.

Senior Yana Yordanova scored her first goal of the season on a penalty kick to secure the Blue Raiders' 1-0 win over Jacksonville State, adding two total shots in the match. Yordanova currently ranks first in both Conference USA and nationally in penalty kick conversions.
Defender Emma Brown played the full 90 minutes in the win, recording one shot on goal while anchoring the Blue Raider backline.
Goalkeeper Demi Gronauer tallied her third shutout of the year with five saves, including a key stop in the 89th minute to preserve the victory.
