Middle Tennessee’s Mayoral, Al-Amin and Horak Sweep CUSA Weekly Awards

DALLAS, Texas — Middle Tennessee freshman Antoine Mayoral earned his first Conference USA Athlete of the Week honor, while senior Karim Al-Amin and Ondrej Horak were named the CUSA Men's Doubles Team of the Week.
On Friday, Mayoral showcased his talent in a match against Lipscomb, where he and his doubles partner junior Birtan Duran held a 5–3 lead at No. 3 when their match remained unfinished. Mayoral continued his impressive performance with a 6–4, 6–0 victory at court 5. In the following match against Tennessee Tech, he and Duran clinched a 6–2 win at court 3, and Mayoral went on to secure a 6–3, 6–2 triumph at court 4.
During the doubleheader on Friday, the No. 18 duo of Karim Al-Amin and Ondrej Horak achieved a 6–4 victory on court 1 against Lipscomb. The pair then maintained their momentum with an early 6–2 win at court 1 doubles against Tennessee Tech.
