JOHNSON, Ark.- Middle Tennessee men's golf finished in seventh place after three days and three rounds at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational hosted by Arkansas.
The Blue Raiders finished a total of 58 strokes over par, including a 19-over day as a team. The tournament host Razorbacks finished in first place, and were the only team at or below par.'
Maddox Crowder had the highest finish in the tournament for the Blue Raiders at T20, but was the lone Blue Raider that did not contribute to the team score on the final day. Overall, Crowder shot an 11-over 227. The sophomore entered the day T10, but a 79 in his final round hampered his final position.
Clay Pendergrass had Middle Tennessee's lowest score for the second day in a row, coming in from the links with a three-over 75 on his scorecard. The last two days (75 and 74 scores) were a bounceback for the senior after an 84 on day one of the tournament.
Stiles Hunter and Connor Henry finished two strokes back of Clay Pendergrass, finishing at T37 (plus-19) after rounds in the high seventies. Hunter was the only Blue Raider to finish the front or back nine under par, coming out of the front nine one-under.
Henry dropped down six spots on the day after a six-over 78 round on day 3. This marks the first tournament of Henry's senior season where he did not record a round under par.
Jake Hopper was the lowest Blue Raider golfer on the leaderboard for the full tournament, as 22-over placed him 45th. Hopper's round three turned in a similar scorecard to his teammate Hunter, as both had a five-over 77.
