Softball drops rematch with No. 4 Florida

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Middle Tennessee Softball (5-9) dropped the last contest of the UF Softball Tournament No. Florida (19-0) by a score of 7-0 at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium on Sunday.
Middle Tennessee had to battle at the plate, the only two hits of the game for the Blue Raiders were off the bats of Jana Want and Adaeze Nwogbo. Onnika Spencer and Lucie McDonald drew walks, the Blue Raiders leaving four on base after seven innings up to bat.
Braelyn Hall got the start in the circle, pitching four innings and striking out one before Mary Martinez entered the game in relief. Middle Tennessee played solid defense in the field, the Blue Raiders did not commit an error for the third game in a row. Macie Harter made a tough catch against the left field wall that would turn a double play for the Blue Raiders.
