A trio of Blue Raiders finish in the top 10 at the Thomas Sharkey Individual Collegiate

STATESBORO, Ga. – The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders wrapped up play at the Thomas Sharkey Individual Collegiate on Sunday at Georgia Southern University Golf Course, highlighted by a pair of top-10 finishes from Jake Hopper and Owen Queener.
Hopper finished tied for seventh at 2-over-par 218 after carding rounds of 75, 71 and 72, while Queener tied for ninth at 6-over-par 222 following rounds of 72, 74 and 76. Connor Henry also posted a strong final day, shooting a 3-under-par 69 to move into a tie for ninth at 222.
UAB's Erik Olin claimed individual medalist honors with a three-round total of 10-under-par 206. Georgia Southern's Morgan Blythe finished second at 5-under-par 211, while Morgan Slaton of UAB and Parker Claxton of Georgia Southern tied for third at 4-under-par 212.
The Blue Raiders will travel to San Antonio, Texas, to compete in the Military City Collegiate hosted by UTSA on Feb. 23-24 (Saturday-Sunday) at TPC San Antonio - Canyons Course.
The Lineup
• Jake Hopper tied for seventh at 2-over-par 218 after posting rounds of 75, 71 and 72 over three rounds.
• Owen Queener finished tied for ninth at 6-over-par 222 following rounds of 72, 74 and 76.
• Connor Henry also tied for ninth at 6-over-par 222 after closing with a 3-under-par 69 on Sunday.
• Oliver Baker tied for 15th at 8-over-par 224 with rounds of 76, 70 and 78.
• Carter Maneth tied for 21st at 9-over-par 225 after carding rounds of 75, 76 and 74.
• Cooper Solberg tied for 21st at 9-over-par 225 with rounds of 73, 76 and 76.
• Maddox Crowder tied for 54th at 25-over-par 241 following rounds of 74, 79 and 88.
• Luke Perkins tied for 57th at 28-over-par 244 after shooting rounds of 83, 79 and 82.
• Charlie Bell finished 53rd at 24-over-par 240 with rounds of 88, 76 and 76.
• Will Pinson placed 60th at 34-over-par 250 after posting rounds of 80, 78 and 92
Coach's Comments: Mark McEntire
"I was very pleased with our results this week," said Head Coach Mark McEntire. "Putting three players in the top 10 and six in the top 20 is a formula for success. We still have a few things to tighten up, but we're excited and ready for a strong spring."
