Blue Raiders drop series to Sam Houston

HUNTSVILLE, Texas – Middle Tennessee Softball (13-18, 3-8 CUSA) dropped its second contest with Sam Houston (23-15, 8-3 CUSA) at the Bearkat Softball Complex by a score of 6-3.
The Blue Raiders kicked off the scoring early, striking first with a sac fly off the bat of Jana Want that brought Macie Harter to the plate. Two more Blue Raiders would reach base in the top of the first inning but would be left stranded. Middle Tennessee did not score again until the fifth inning, where Adaeze Nwogbo and Ansley Blevins would each bring a run to the plate.
Tori Coffman got the start in the circle for the Blue Raiders, tossing a complete six-inning game and recording the loss.
