Career Round From Henry Highlights Day One at Mossy Oak Collegiate

WEST POINT, Miss. — Middle Tennessee opened play at the Mossy Oak Collegiate on Monday and sits tied for 16th after 36 holes at Mossy Oak Golf Club.
The Blue Raiders posted rounds of 307 and 290 to finish the day at 597, improving by 17 strokes in the second round in a strong field.
Connor Henry led the way for Middle Tennessee and is tied for sixth individually at 3-under-par 141 after rounds of 75 and a career-low 66, positioning himself near the top of the leaderboard heading into the final day.
Ole Miss holds the team lead at 559, followed by Mississippi State (568) and Vanderbilt (571) through 36 holes.
The Mossy Oak Collegiate concludes Tuesday with the final round. The Blue Raiders will begin teeing off at 8:20 a.m. on hole No. 10 and will be paired with Cincinnati, North Texas and Southern Miss.
The Lineup
• Connor Henry is tied for sixth at 3-under 141 (75-66).
• Carter Maneth is tied for 20th at even-par 144 (74-70).
• Maddox Crowder is tied for 81st at 10-over 154 (78-76).
• Oliver Baker is tied for 95th at 14-over 158 (80-78).
• Owen Queener rounds out the Blue Raiders at 27-over 163 (87-84).

"Connor had an outstanding day and really put himself in a great position heading into the final round," said Head Coach Mark McEntire. "I was proud of the way the team responded in the second round and improved by 17 shots. We'll look to carry that momentum into tomorrow and finish strong."
