Blue Raiders host FIU for final series of 2026

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee Softball hosts FIU for its final three games of the 2026 season. Game one between the Blue Raiders and Panthers is slated for Thursday, April 30 at 6:00 p.m. CT.
Blue Raider Notes
- Macie Harter had a phenomenal weekend at the plate against Jax State. Harter slashed a blistering .667/.800/2.333 with five runs, a double, three home runs, four RBI and four walks. Two of the sophomore's three home runs were sent over the fence in one game to start off the weekend, where the left fielder went two-for-two with two home runs and three RBI. In Middle Tennessee's upset over Jax State in game three, Harter went two-for-three with two runs, one RBI, a double and a home run.
- Onnika Spencer had a phenomenal two games against Memphis in Middle Tennessee's doubleheader with the Tigers. Spencer went five-for-five with two home runs and four RBI across both games. Spencer sent home run number 11 over the fence at Jax State to tie with Ansley Blevins for the most on the team.
- Braelyn Hall picked up her seventh win of the season in Middle Tennessee's win over Jax State. Hall pitched a complete seven inning game, striking out five and allowing just three earned runs.
- Middle Tennessee enters the weekend having hit 58 home runs as a team. That figure ranks second in program history, six home runs shy of the current record of 64 set by the Blue Raiders in the 2025 season.
Panther Notes
- FIU enters the weekend 32-16 overall with a 14-10 mark in Conference USA play under the leadership of acting head coach Mike Meyers.
- Kally Meredith and Kennedy Byrd lead the Panthers offensively; Meredith leads in batting average and hits, batting .471 on the season with 74 base knocks. Byrd leads in power with 11 home runs and a .701 slugging percentage.
- Brooke McNichols tops FIU in ERA with a 2.67 while J'dah Girigorie leads the team in strikeouts with 66.
Series History
The series between Middle Tennessee and FIU is 56-28 in favor of the Panthers. When the two teams met in the regular season last year, FIU took the series two games to one.
