Women's Golf to open fall slate at Mason Rudolph Championship

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee women's golf program is set to embark on its 26th season of competition this weekend, kicking off the 2026 fall season at the Mason Rudolph Championship. The tournament runs from September 18-20 at the South Course of the Legends Golf Club in Franklin, Tenn.

- Head Coach Lauren Wamsley returned five golfers from a season ago, adding two transfers to the roster as she begins year three at the helm of the Blue Raiders.
- This year's entry into the tournament marks the 11th time Middle Tennessee has competed in the Vanderbilt-hosted competition. The best the program has finished in Franklin was T11, achieved in the 2018 edition of the tournament.
- The tournament marks the lone three-day event that the Blue Raiders will compete in this fall, with 18 holes being played each day to complete the 54-hole tournament.
- Transfer Sara Burger comes to Murfreesboro from Dalton State, where she was named a First Team NAIA All-American last year. Her redshirt junior season saw her ranked third in the nation, garnering two wins and five top 3 finishes while averaging 72.3 strokes in 30 rounds played.
- Jayla Kucy transferred in from Oral Roberts, joining the Blue Raiders as a junior. She was voted All-Summit League Honorable Mention during her sophomore year, earning a third-place finish at the Summit League Championship Stroke Play and shooting a 75.2 average.
- Ella Manley headlines the returners from last season as the low scorer from that group. She shot a team-low round at 66 in the season opener in 2025 and competed in all tournaments but two with a 75.6 average.
Lineup
- The Blue Raiders will send five student-athletes to compete in the tournament: Ella Manley, Sara Burger, Brylee Crouse, Jayla Kucy and Jinger Heath.
- Burger and Kucy will make their Blue Raider debuts at the Legends Golf Club.
Scouting the Opponents
- The weekend will see Middle Tennessee compete against 14 other programs, with nine of those being from Power 4 Conferences.
- The Blue Raiders and host Vanderbilt are set to be joined by Purdue, Florida, Georgia Southern, Northwestern, Long Beach, WKU, College of Charleston, Florida Atlantic, Arizona State, Clemson, Mississippi State, Louisville and North Carolina.
- The Florida Gators wrapped up last season ranked fourth in the country, with UNC (12) and Vanderbilt (15) also joining them in the top 15. Arizona State (19) and Mississippi State (22) completed the 2025-26 season as a top 25 program in the nation as well.
