Women’s Tennis to begin fall schedule with Memphis Invitational

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee women's tennis team will commence its 2026 fall season with the Memphis Invitational for the second consecutive year in Memphis, Tenn. between Sept. 18-20.
MTSU will compete against the same teams it met just one year ago, joining Ball State, Arkansas State and host Memphis at the Leftwich Tennis Center for the three-day event.
In the 2025 edition of the tournament, the Blue Raiders tied Memphis in singles, 4-4, in addition to winning all three doubles matchups on the final day of the tournament.
The Blue and White's 2026 roster adds two transfers and four total newcomers, with redshirt senior Victoria Matasova joining from Old Dominion and junior Zhanel Rustemova from Kansas State. Freshmen Maria Palacios and Julia Orswall make the move to Murfreesboro from Spain and Sweden, respectively.
Seniors Lena Peyer and Sadbaroy Kholdarova, juniors Eda Numanoglu and Sara Conde and sophomore Sthefany Lima return for the Blue Raiders.
