Henry named CUSA Golfer of the Week

MURFREESBORO, Tenn.- Following his first career win, Blue Raider men's golfer Connor Henry was named the Conference USA Men's Golfer of the Week.
Henry's first career weekly award was announced by the league office Wednesday morning, following a strong two days at the Bayou City Collegiate Classic and Westwood Golf Club in Houston.
A native of Fort Worth, Texas, Henry found himself atop the leaderboard after carding a 10-under par 206. Henry is now the third Blue Raider all-time to tally a 206 in a 54-hole tournament.
Henry started off the tournament shooting a seven-under 65, marking his lowest score of the tournament. The senior then battled through a rain-delayed and later suspended due to darkness round two, ultimately patching together a two-under 70 round to put himself in contention for the title. Henry put the cherry on top with a three-under 69 round, surging from as far back as fifth-place to capture his first collegiate win.
The individual title marks the second in as many weeks for the Blue Raiders, and the weekly award is their first of the 2026-27 golf season.
Next up: The Blue Raiders will be back in action on Oct. 3 for the first round of the Blessings Collegiate Invitational hosted by Arkansas. The tournament will run from Oct. 3-5 at The Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
