2015 (Senior): Made 17 appearances in final campaign with two starts … Finished 3-0 with a 3.28 ERA and struck out 45 batters while walking only 22 in 35.2 innings pitched … Recorded six saves after moving to the bullpen, tied for the seventh most in MT single-season history … Held opposing batters to a .214 batting average … His first two appearances were starts in which he tallied 15 Ks in 9.2 innings … Struck out six and allowed only one hit in a three-inning relief appearance against Old Dominion (3/27) … Fanned five batters in two innings of relief work at UTSA (5/9).
2014 (Junior): 2014 Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll … Made 20 appearances out of the bullpen, posting a 2-2 record, three saves and a 3.28 ERA … Allowed 18 runs, 13 earned, on 30 hits with 24 punchouts and 15 walks in 35.2 innings pitched … Did not give up a run in four outings that lasted three or more innings … Held opponents scoreless for 12 innings that lasted Feb. 22 until March 23 … Struck out five and picked up the win in 5.0 innings pitched at Tulane (March 23) … Grabbed his second win of the year with four scoreless frames against Belmont (April 8) … Managed first save against Old Dominion (April 26) with a hitless one inning of relief ... Picked up the save in two innings of scoreless ball against FIU (May 10) … Notched a third save in a one inning hitless effort against Marshall on May 17 … Has not given up a run in the last 10.2 innings thrown. Also had one start on the season … Held opponents to a team-low .185 batting average and commanded a 3.75 ERA in 24 innings on the mound … Picked up his lone save of the season at No. 20 South Alabama (May 5) … Pitched a career-best 4.2 scoreless innings out of the bullpen vs. Memphis (March 27).
2012 (Freshman): Made 14 appearances and one start as a Freshman ... Earned a 1-1 record.
Bolivar HS: A four-sport athlete at Bolivar Central High School, including basketball cross country and golf … Named to the 2010 and 2011 all-district tournament teams … Made back-to-back trips to the state tournament with the baseball team under head coach Mark Fulghum in 2008 and 2009 … Compiled an 8-2 record with a 1.31 ERA and 148 strikeouts as a senior … Also hit .480 during his senior campaign … Helped the Bolivar basketball team win the state title in 2010 … Also earned 2011 all-district and all-region honors in basketball.
