2023 (Grad Student)
- Played in 14 games with 10 starts on the year, all in right field
- Started six games in a row from March 18 to March 26
- Went 2-4 against WKU on both March 18 and 19, with an RBI in the series-clinching win March 19
- Had a 3-5 night with three RBI at Tennessee Tech on March 21
2022 (Senior) (Austin Peay)
- Hit a career-high .304 on the season
- Played and started in all 56 games
- Was second on the team in hits with 66
- Was third on the squad in RBI with 32
- Drew 33 walks, more than any teammate
- Went 4-4 with a home run and a walk against Eastern Kentucky (March 13)
2021 (Junior) (Austin Peay)
- Austin Peay’s Opening Day starter at third base, ultimately played in 55 games, starting 52 games at third base and three games at catcher. Was the Govs leadoff hitter in 49 games.
- Finished season batting .284, bouncing back from a cold start that saw him batting .033 at the 10-game mark (March 14).
- After his 1-for-30 start, batted .383 (41-107) over the next 27 games, pushing average above .300 for the first time after a 4-for-6 effort against North Alabama (April 27).
- Led Govs with 37 walks and 44 runs scored, ranking eighth and fifth among OVC hitters, respectively.
- Batted .315 in OVC play with a .404 on-base percentage. Ranked among league’s Top 10 in hits (10th, 39) and walks (8th, 19) during league action.
- Tied APSU record with six hits in SEMO series finale (March 20), including two triples and five RBI in the seventh inning alone.
- Led Govs hitters in three OVC series: Belmont (.636), Southeast Missouri (.438), and Morehead State (.583).
- Finished the season with a three-game hit streak, going 4-for-12 during the OVC tournament.
2020 (Sophomore) (Austin Peay)
- Played in all 17 games, starting 12 games at third base and three at catcher for the Governors.
- Led Govs with a .373 batting average. Also led the team in doubles (9), walks (10), stolen bases (3) and runs scored (14).
- Led the OVC and ranked sixth nationally in doubles (9).
- Finished season with four-game hit streak that saw him bat .600 (9-for-15) with four doubles, four RBI and nine runs scored.
- Enjoyed a 12 reached safely streak, Feb. 21-March 4, that extended his reached safely streak to 25 games dating back to the 2019 season.
- Hit leadoff home run as part of 3-for-4 night against Western Illinois, March 11.
- Provided game-winning RBI on squeeze bunt against Evansville, Feb. 23.
- Had two doubles and his second career home run as part of 4-for-5, three RBI effort against Eastern Michigan, Feb. 15.
2019 (Freshman) (Austin Peay)
- Played in 53 games, starting 48, and eventually became the Govs starting third baseman (47 starts).
- Batted .262 in rookie campaign with a .398 on-base percentage, leading the Govs with 35 walks.
- Finished season with 14 game reached-base safely streak.
- Closed season with first collegiate home run in OVC tournament game against Morehead State, May 25.
- Had four hits in OVC tournament, three going for extra bases, and led team with four walks in 20 plate appearances.
- Reached base in 14 consecutive games to end 2019 and had a 16-game reached safely streak earlier in the season.
- Had a three-hit, three-RBI day against Western Kentucky, May 14.
- Enjoyed opening day of Morehead State series, April 12, going 2-for-5 in day’s first game before notching a 4-for-6 outing in the nightcap. He batted 7-for-15 (.467) in the series with five runs scored.
- First multi-hit outing of 2019 came in March 30 game against Belmont, going 2-for-5, to end an opening 16-game stretch that saw him bat .153. Batted .313 over his final 42 games.
Rossview High School
- Starting third baseman for Rossview High School’s 2018 Tennessee Class AAA Champions and head coach Parker Holman.
- Finished season batting .333 with 32 RBI and 59 runs scored.
- Hit three-run home run in state championship game against Collierville.
- Finished state championship 3-for-10 with a home run and four RBI.
- Named to Clarksville Leaf Chronicle All-Area Team as a senior.
- Also played quarterback for Rossview football team, earning all-region honors as a senior.

- Cologino James Avros is the son of Jim and Cindy Avros.
- Birthday is Nov. 1.
- Has three older siblings: Jimmers, Nico and Anthony.
