Kenneth Gilstrap, a four-year letterman at defensive back for Middle Tennessee, is in his second year on Rick Stockstill’s staff entering the 2016 season. Gilstrap will work with the defense as a graduate assistant.
Gilstrap, who spent a year coaching in the high school ranks, played in 46 career games for the Blue Raiders and earned 28 starts. A member of three bowl teams, including the 2009 New Orleans Bowl championship squad, Gilstrap had 126 tackles, 14 pass breakups, 5.5 TFLs and three fumble recoveries.
Gilstrap earned his undergraduate degree from Middle Tennessee in 2013.
