Noteworthy: Joined the team as a walk-on in the fall of 2001 ... Looks to be the starting deep snapper in 2002 ... Transferred from Lane College where he was a member of the 2000 football team as the starting tight end ... Missed most of spring practice with a dislocated wrist he suffered in the weight room, but should be 100 percent in the fall.
2001: Took a redshirt year.
High School: Played for Ron Aydelott at Hillsboro High School ... Was on the same team with current Blue Raiders Alvin Fite and John Henry ... Played tight end and outside linebacker ... As a senior, he registered 10 receptions for 234 yards and two touchdowns to go with 76 tackles on defense and three sacks ... Was an all-city and all-region performer ... Voted all-region offensive line MVP as a senior ... Lettered four years in football and three years each in basketball and track ... Was team captain for the 2000 Tennessee East-West Shrine Game.
