Craig Allen, a three-year letterwinner at Middle Tennessee for Coach Rick Stockstill, is in his second year as a member of Stockstill’s coaching staff. Allen is an intern with the program this year after working as a graduate assistant on defense in 2014.
The Carrollton, Ga., native redshirted in 2009 before playing linebacker for the Blue Raiders from 2010 to 2012. Following a neck injury late in the 2012 season, Allen was unable to play his senior year in 2013.
As a junior, Allen started 11 games and led the team in tackles with a career-best 82 to rank 15th in the Sun Belt Conference. Allen had a personal-high 15 tackles against ULM and added 10 and a fumble recovery in an upset win at Georgia Tech.
In 2013, Allen was voted as a Permanent Team Captain, and despite not being able to play was always on the sidelines supporting his teammates.
Allen earned his degree from Middle Tennessee in 2014.
