Reese Shivers was named associate athletic trainer at Middle Tennessee in October 2016. His primary responsibility consists of overseeing all athletic training duties for men’s basketball.
Prior to joining the Blue Raiders, Shivers served as an assistant athletic trainer for the men’s basketball and volleyball teams at the University of Tennessee at Martin.
Before UTM, Shivers earned his master’s degree in sports management from the University of Southern Mississippi, where he worked in athletic training with the football, men’s basketball and men’s tennis programs.
Shivers received his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Louisiana State University in 2013 while working as a trainer with football, women’s basketball and men’s tennis.
He is a native of Slidell, La., and now resides in Murfreesboro with his wife, Megan, and their dog, Marley.
