High School: Ran three years of cross country and four years of track for coach Tom Carney at Pinckney Community HS ... Won 2006 state cross country individual championship and member of cross country state team championships as junior and senior ... Individual state champion in 3200-meters and runner-up in 1600-meters as senior and also All-American in 4xMile relay ... Top times included 1:56.6 in 800-meters, 4:12.2 in 1600, 9:22.02 in 3200 and 15:34 in 5000-meters ... Also lettered three years in swimming.
