Noteworthy: Chose MT over Ole Miss and Memphis ... Runs a 4.4 40 ... Rates as a pretty good singer as a member of a show choir.
High School: Earned All-Midstate and Region 6-5A Offensive Player of the Year honors in 2001 for Hunters Lane High School ... Averaged 10.0 yards per rush over his last two seasons ... Rushed for 1,600 yards on 168 carries (9.5) and 19 touchdowns in leading Hunters Lane to an 8-3 mark and a berth in the state playoffs ... Also tallied 11 receptions for 210 yards and one TD, along with two interceptions on defense ... Waller also guided the Warriors to the state playoffs his junior year after rushing for 1,847 yards on 178 carries and 17 touchdowns ... Was also a gifted track athlete earning the 2001 Gatorade Tennessee Athlete of the Year award in track after leading Hunters Lane to the Class AAA state championship ...
