Freshman (2002-03): Began career with Middle Tennessee on the women's basketball squad ... Played in one exhibition game before having season-ending surgery and redshirted her freshman year ... In the spring of 2003 decided to switch to the Lady Raider softball team.
High School: Named All-District and All-Region in 2002 ... 2002 Daily News Journal Female Athlete of the Year ... Named Offensive Softball Player of the Year ... Recorded the longest hitting streak in Riverdale High School history with 33 consecutive games ... In 2002 had a .482 batting average with 24 RBI and two homeruns.
